In light of the June 11 decision by Russia’s state Duma to make law the bill outlawing the ‘propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations’, the International Olympics Committee (IOC) has confirmed their support for LGBT athletes in the lead up to the 2014 Olympics set to be held in Sochi Russia in February 2014.
