Online LGBTIQ directory from Healthy Communities: add your group now

Author // Andrew Shaw Categories // News + Politics | Queensland | Sydney Mardi Gras

Despite battling looming funding cuts by the Health Department, Healthy Communities is still working for the LGBTIQ community in Queensland.

Now, Healthy Communities has launched a new online directory of LGBTI groups and services in Queensland at www.lgbti.info
The directory is an initiative of the LGBTI Roundtable which identified the need to increase LGBTI people’s access to LGBTI specific groups and services in Queensland.

Data for the directory was developed through an LGBTI community mapping project conducted by Healthy Communities in 2011. Listed groups are able to update their own information as changes arise and new groups or services wanting to add their details to the directory can do so.

The directory will be promoted to LGBTI people and groups as well as mainstream services via online advertising and promotional items to be distributed at events.
