Double passes on offer for Beresford Mardi Gras party

SYDNEY: Five lucky people and their friends have the chance to be invited to a special Mardi Gras music event next Wednesday night at the Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills.

Hosted by groundbreaking digital music service Rdio, the evening will see the likes of DJ Sveta, DJ Kitty Glitter and up-and-coming live electro act Garcon Garcon thrill the invite-only crowd Upstairs at the Beresford.

Full catering and beverages will also be provided for on the night.

To be in the running for one of five double pass, entrants must go to www.rdio.com to create a free profile and then simply add a track to the official Mardi Gras playlist.

Launched in 2010, Rdio allows for on-demand access to over 12 million songs, and lets people build a digital music collection that’s available everywhere from the home to the web, in-car, on smartphones and even offline.

It was founded by Janus Friis, one of the co-founders of file-sharing application KaZaA as well as the peer-to-peer telecommunications application Skype.

Mardi Gras Music event hosted by Rdio is invite-only and takes place on Wednesday, February 29 at Level 1, Beresford Hotel, Surry Hills.
