Sircuit bus to ChillOut

Author // Andrew Shaw Categories // Entertainment

Sircuit is organising a bus to take day trippers up to the Daylesford ChillOut festival on Sunday, March 11. Chris from Sircuit shares the details with Andrew Shaw.

Chris, how many people do you get on the Sircuit ChillOut bus?
48.

Is there music on board, snacks, booze – is it BYO?
You can bring snacks on board and you can drink on the way up. Also you can bring an esky, we put it underneath in the luggage compartment. And yes it’s BYO. In regard to music there is a CD player on board.

How many years have you been doing the drive up?

This is our fourth year.

What sort of things do you get up to on the bus... Fun and games?
Like footy trips I have no idea why everyone wants to do drag.

What are the advantages of being on a bus rather than driving up?

You get to travel with your mates, no one has to concentrate on the road, everyone can enjoy a drink, it’s cheaper than taking the car. Better for the environment.

How much is it to go on the bus, where does it leave from and when?
$15 return ticket departs Sircuit at 10.30am then stops at Footscray Railway Station at 11am then direct to Daylesford. We leave Daylesford at 4.30pm and head directly back to Sircuit.

Do you stay as a group when you get to Daylesford?
We just agree on the meeting place and time for our return, and then we all do our own thing. In the past we generally have hung together.

Will there be a headcount before you depart from Daylesford – what happens if a passenger is missing in action, so to speak?
We do a headcount so we know how many we left behind. We haven’t left anyone behind yet. I think that’s because everyone knows the bus will leave at 4.30pm.

ChillOut bus tickets are available at Sircuit, 103 Smith St, Fitzroy. sircuit.com.au
